Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976
in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her
father. She is the middle of two sisters, the older one, Natasha Chalke, one
younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in a television film, City
Boy (1992). After her first movie Sarah auditioned for the role of Becky in
Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was seeking an actor to replace Alicia
Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah completed her high school
degree in 1995 as she was filming the 1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. Sarah
also starred with Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996,
Sarah was a part-time actress in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand
Against Fear (1996) where she was a cheerleader called Krista Wilson. In 1998,
just a year after Roseanne (1988) ended, Sarah was asked to be a part of a show
called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). The show was based off the TV film
of the same name that was titled Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) that
Sarah was also a part of. In 1993 she assumed Becky's part on Roseanne (1988).
Said she would like to quit acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997)
Actress who played the older sister of Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988), but is older
in real life. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony where she received
an award for the top single of 1999. September 1999: Appeared around the age of
8 in Vancouver's theater productions. She is fluent in French and German. She
is a volunteer at a hospice where terminally ill kids are treated . She also
volunteers with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke enjoys cooking with
her friends, especially Thai and sushi, and playing guitar. She also enjoys ski
(she is an instructor) Kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking as well as reading. Her
father is a lawyer, and her parents are mediators. They also run an agency for
child adoption. Her parents took her to China in order to oversee the adoptions
of many orphans.
