Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and began her career in film and TV shows, such as Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and went on to even make projects like Double Dare (1976) and has made appearances on such television projects like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most famous TV part was "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). She was in more than 156 episodes of the comedy between 1984 and 1992. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and famous nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 June 26, 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). She was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. As an athletics coach, she attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a trick roper on The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were brought home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months removed from her 71st birth date on the 4th of November 2021, passed away on the 7th of August. She was 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was her co-star who passed away on July 11 in 2020. Although they were completely distinct shows, Night Court (1984), where she was the lead, ended in 1992 with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), in which Post played a new role, Georgie Lahti (who also, coincidentally, had been employed in Washington DC before moving to the smaller city) was released in 1992.
