Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actresswho is known for her roles on daytime television, episodic guest
appearances, and made-for-television films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime
Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General Hospital.
She has been playing Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS' soap production The Bold
and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan
Sofer, a psychology professor and Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. Her
family later relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until the time of divorce
of her parents, [citation neededshe moved with her father and brother David to
Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania
as a young child. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their
father was director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended the
Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Mordern Orthodox
Jewish high-school. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the
synagogue's Rabbi Temple Beth El. She completed her studies at North Bergen
High School, then attended classes at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois
Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance was
in 1993 as a manager of a band. However, her first role was in the role of
Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). Sofer is most likely
best known for her character Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993
- September 24, 1996). Later, she was in guest appearance on the show (February
7-17, 1997 September 30th to October 2nd 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime
Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series for her
performance as Lois. Sofer was cast in CBS' soap opera The Bold and the
Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she created just. The first episode aired in
July 2013. Sofer has appeared as a guest actor/supporting cast member in a
number of high-profile primetime television series, including Seinfeld and
Melrose Place. Her first episode aired on July 12.
